How do I feel about the death of 4craft v12 and potentially the franchise as a whole? I'm not so sure . Lethargic is the first thing that comes to mind. You have this big event that happens no more than every one to two years. It has built up a legacy of being a brawl to remember for the ages. Shilled from /a/ to /y/ for weeks, picking up passengers, riding aboard the hype train. The steam gets hotter, the expactations higher, the autism autismer. Discords are being made left and right, preparations are being made, big plans of super-factions and super raids on these super factions. Oldfags preaching tales of glory in battle to awe-struck newfags. Gear up for some top tier content, the eggplants have be given, the server is almost open for business. Finally after what seems like eons the day has come. The server is open! 220 players log in as fast as they can. What ensues is pure chaos. Forget about fights, does your faction even have land? "Hey, invite plz? Can I have an invite? Invite?" and 99 other similar phrases are being spammed at once. Those epic PVP fights? Too bad, you're not getting any of that. It's hack or be hacked. Boat-flyers zooming above your head like spaceships, good luck protecting any of your materials your fought so hard to recieve. Proper anti-cheat? What's that? Never heard of that and neither have the admins apparantley. "Don't worry, it'll get better once things start moving along" they say. Three days later, server population is 30 during peak hours. What's left is a barren wasteland. The largest factions possess no more than four or five online. PvP is nonexistent because why fight when there's your safe, non-destructible base? Hackers are still running rampant. The few players who remain spend their time either building as if they were in a single player world, or meeting up to distribute whatever ores they have. Here we are. This is what's left of 4craft. The fun is over, fellas. The magic is gone.
