@Sugar Plum nvm Intel unveiled the pricing structure
$260 unlocked 6c6t, $360 unlocked 6c12t
$180 and $300 locked respectively
4c4t at $120 and $170
You might say this is a good deal but only Z370 boards available on launch, so they'll all have to be able to deal with an unlocked 6c12t
might say the i3 is a good deal****
so I doubt any boards below $130 will be on the market, or shite if there are
the locked chips are total jokes, 2.8ghz and 3.2ghz bclk for the i5 and i7 respectively
and the i5 only turbos to 4ghz on a single core, meanwhile it's competitor will be a 1600 that'll OC all cores to 4ghz
with HT
the i3 is only 3.6ghz no turbo at all
i7 locked hits 4.6ghz on a single core, but if it's anything like the leaks, all core should be 4 or 4.1, in the range of a 1700 that costs the same and has two more cores
in summary: Intel continues to shoot itself in the dick to maintain stupid margins
IPC may be marginally down due to additional core to core communication overhead as well
